You’ve always wanted to try tap dancing? L’École de danse Nicola in Montréal (also in Lachine/Ville Saint-Pierre) has years of experience in this field; it is one of its specialties. Thanks to Al Gilbert, well-known in the world of dance for his devotion to teaching this art with passion, heart and generosity, anyone can learn to tap dance and the tradition lives on as he’s done us the honor of entrusting us with the technique he developed. Musical feet! So come discover how magical it is to be part of the rhythm and dance!

Ballroom is l'École de danse Nicola’s specialty. The technique taught focuses on having fun while dancing and is perfect for you to use your talents in all occasions.

Line Dancing at l'École de danse Nicola includes a wide variety of dances, country or traditional  - whether you come to dance alone or as a couple – so that you can have a good time at different events, with or without a partner.  

Schedules and locations may vary from one season to the next. Any seniors club, single parent association or any organization looking for a line dance teacher may contact l'École de danse Nicola to hire a qualified teacher who will come and teach in the location of their choice.

Nick Giordano

With more than fifty years of experience and credentials from the Association Professionnelle des Écoles de Danse de la province de Québec, the ''Dance Educator'' of New York, the ''All American Dance Congress'' and in partnership with Al Gilbert from Hollywood, Nick offers courses for amateurs, children or adults alike, and also has a professional training program in collaboration with Al Gilbert for you to reach a professional level and get your diploma as a dance teacher.

Nick is the director and founder of l'École de danse Nicola.
Patricia Morin

patricia Morin

With more than forty years of experience, she is the only one in Quebec trained by Al Gilbert and is now in charge of the professional training program to prepare you for Al Gilbert’s exams in order to get your diploma as a dance teacher. Many teachers in Quebec value her experience as they come to improve their tap or jazz technique, or to progress through the different professional levels. Her choreographies are sought after and each year, teachers take classes with her to pick up new choreographies and improve the quality of their dance recitals.

Jessica  has been with our school for twenty years now, teaching tap and ballet-jazz/hip-hop to children of all ages. Trained by Patricia and Nick, she has always been dedicated to her pupils and creates a fun, warm, empowering environment that enables each one of her young dancers to progress year after year.

The program is intended for anyone; whether you’ve had a lot of dance training or not, or whether you’re already a dance teacher and are looking to open your dance studio. Lean on our experience and especially on Nick’s who’s been in the business since 1965. He worked with great professionals to improve his skills. He’s now the Canadian coordinator for Al Gilbert’s exams and as such can help you obtain your diploma as an amateur or a professional in tap, jazz or ballroom.
